 Stunde Null (Zero Hour) in post-Nazi Germany. Allied occupation of Germany after the WW2: BMW because of the armament production during the war, was not allowed to produce cars; the Eisenach factory located in the Soviet Occupation Zone became Soviet controlled AWTOWELO WERK BMW, at first producing cars under BMW logo, later using the new name and logo EMW; until December 1948 military and utility vehicles were produced as well as single BMW cars from old parts for top Soviet military personnel, from December 1948 production resumed, these cars were sold until 1952 as BMW's:
